This course enables professionals to become a CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Authority) certified remote pilot through theoretical and practical flight learning and development.
As part of the qualification, we cover hands-on flight training (minimum of five hours) where you will gain in-depth exposure and qualify you for CASA flight standards. You will get to fly a number of different aircraft we operate to give you experience with different capabilities. If you have a specific area of interest we can also target your training to give you more exposure in that particular area such as thermal imagery.
Participants also complete theoretical competencies on Remote Pilot Aircraft (RPA) law, RPA systems, meteorology, navigation, human factors, operational flight planning, aeronautical radio, aviation English along with other modules required by CASA to meet the RPA licensing requirements.
Our instructors are certified by CASA and hold instrument delegations to provide Aeronautical Radio Operator’s Certificate (AROC) training and licencing approvals along with both the Aviation English Language Proficiency (A-ELP) assessments (up to Professional level 6) and General- Aviation Language Proficiency (G-ELP) assessments.
We note that some providers are not including the AROC in their training anymore as a cost saving. We believe this is an important requirement for commercial operators so we include it in our package as it allows you to operate in areas that others cannot.
Once you have successfully completed the training and we have developed your skills to the appropriate standard we can then proceed to issue you your RePL licence.
